Health Savings Accounts are intended to help you save money and take greater
control of your health care costs. HSAs are always coupled with a High Deductible Health
Plan (HDHP). HDHPs feature much lower premium payments than typical Low Deductible Plans.
The money you save on premium payments can be invested in your HSA. Those funds will be
available to help cover out-of-pocket qualified medical expenses. You are permitted to
deduct the full amount of your contributions to your HSA and you do not pay taxes on the
earnings as long as you spend them on qualified medical expenses.
To find out if you qualify for a Health Savings Account, please consult your attorney, tax
or financial advisor with regard to your personal situation. Once you know that you are
qualified, please contact one of our HSA representatives at the BC National Banks office
location closest to you. We will be happy to assist you in opening your Health Savings
Account. Check out our GREAT rates on these accounts.
